Neighborhood Noise From a Roller Coaster

noise nuisance from roller coaster

I am interested in all aspects of acoustics, including neighborhood noise. Occasionally, when I find something very interesting and well presented, I share it in my blog.

If this item about neighborhood noise is not of interest to you, please read some of my other articles.  For those who share my interest in acoustics, listen to the video about reducing noise caused be a new large roller coaster at Canada’s Wonderland.

A new large roller coaster created a noise nuisance for the neighborhood around Canada’s Wonderland.  The problem was fixed as very nicely explained in the video below.  The video illustrates that acoustics is a challenging science and that specialized expertise is required to solve sometimes unexpected challenges.
